just saying...

Mozart's music has NEVER gripped me as much as Bach and Beethoven's; it's too gay (and by that I mean too cheerful).

Warning: I have no business having an opinion on this subject but...... pwn is pretty strong. No one tops Beethoven in my book (7th, moonlight, typical layperson's favorites) and if classical was Shakespeare, Bach would be Hamlet, epic and representative. But Mozart's "gayness" is at times manic to the point of tragic. A picture perfect world on the surface but in fast forward. Unable to relax but still able to produce something soulful like Piano Concerto No. 21 In C.

I shan't. Yes, Mozart's music can be rather cheerful most of the time but it can be quite gripping as well. I would advise you to look for the Queen of the Night aria " Der Hoelle Rache" from Die Zauberfloete.
