Hello.

I'm looking for lively, rousing (Maybe fast) pieces, especially symphonies like Mozart's 25th one. Do you have another suggestion?.

Thanks in advance and thanks for creating this site.

Dear member,

I'd like to offer you a greeting and belated welcome to the site. I would equally like to help you in naming some "rousing" pieces. However, I think it may be easier for me to locate more exactly what you seek if you supply more specifics. Do you wish to find exclusively symphonies? Do you wish these symphonies to be exclusively from the Classical period of Mozart's time (ie, those written by the man himself and/or by his contemporaries in styles similar to his?) or would you like to also examine those of Romantics including Ludwig Van Beethoven, who I think is more famous on the account "rousing" symphonies than is any other man in musical history.

Cheers,
Nathan

You can also access the Kickass Classical Top 100 and Kickass Classical Top 200 and sort the Keyword column by "rousing" and "powerful" for some great suggestions.

Enjoy!

Thanks you very much Nathan. I'm also interested in the romantic period as well. I'm looking mainly for symphonies but any other suggestion you consider worthy will be very much appreciated.

Before posting my question I already browsed the first 100 and 200 :).

Hi everyone,
It's about 3 min 30 sec long. Just so that people know.
My browser plays this in Xine, and I don't see the time running. Maybe other people do see the time, but I had to clock it.
I've listened to it 3 times now, over the loudspeakers. I love classical music and I play the guitar (though not in a classical style). I have limited knowledge of music theory.
