Just wanna be specific for others looking for this piece... it's "Lux Aeterna" by Clint Mansell from his soundtrack to the 2000 film "Requiem For A Dream."
A rearranged version of "Lux Aeterna" was used in the trailer for the 2002 film "The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers." The piece, renamed "Requiem For A Tower," was made especially for the trailer and included full orchestra and a choir.
Since then, "Lux Aeterna" has become popular in other movie trailers - for films like "Zathura," "The Da Vinci Code," "Sunshine," "Babylon A.D." and the TV series "Lost." It is also used on "Sky Sports News" and is the theme for "Soccer Saturday."
