A South America Pan-Flute Orchestra Music Question?

What's that classical music I heard?

A South America Pan-Flute Orchestra Music Question?

Postby pl_09 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 1:49 am

 I am trying to find a piece of South America orchestral epic music that I barely remember more than 3 notes, nor do I know its name & author. This piece was played 20 years ago quite often by a Detroit radio station. It has Pan flute, but it is not from 1492, the Coumbus movie nor is it from the Mission, deNiro movie. This piece of music in question, is a full orchestral music with pan flute as one of its main instruments. Very very epic like the one in the Mission, but even better in my opinion and it is THAT GOOD ! Problem is that as a rule music station never give any info on music they play, so I have nothing to search on. Because it is so good and unique ( as South American music seldom is played by a full orchestra, so far I came across ) that it might ring a bell to someone
If anybody can tell, will appreciate

Of course when we hear "pan-flute" the first thing that comes to mind is "The Lonely Shepard" by Zamfir. Most recently used in the "Kill Bill" soundtrack.

No, it is a full orchestral arrangement, an epic music score, close to : the Mission music score in  :

Try "El Condor Pasa":

It was written by Daniel Alomia Robles of Peru and made famous by Simon and Garfunkle. Every Andean folkloric band has it in their repertoire.
